Hereafter

George Schreiber, a retired heart-surgeon, has terminal cancer.  Alone he drives to the farm of his childhood to take his life in the solitude of nature. On this last journey, however, unforeseen events and encounters remind him of the mystery of life’s endurance. George is drawn into a journey quite different from the one he had planned – a journey that rediscovers reasons to keep living, even in the face of death.
